Vždy vás zaujímalo, aké to je dýchať pod vodou? Ak si chcete vyskúšať potápanie, ale nie ste úplne pripravení pustiť sa do certifikačného kurzu, Discover Scuba Diving je pre vás. Hoci nejde o certifikačný kurz, Discover Scuba Diving je rýchly a jednoduchý úvod do toho, čo je potrebné na objavovanie podmorského sveta.

Aby ste sa mohli zaregistrovať na PADI Discover Scuba Diving, musíte mať aspoň 10 rokov. Nie sú potrebné žiadne predchádzajúce skúsenosti s potápaním, ale musíte mať primerané fyzické zdravie.

  • Pri lietaní po potápaní vo všeobecnosti musíte po poslednom ponore počkať minimálne 12 až 18 hodín.

Itinerár

Meet us at the dive shop

Meet your PADI instructor at our dive shop one day before open water dive or on the same day in the morning. Get the briefing about DSD program, sign the forms - liability and medical agreement. Move to the equipment room and get explanation about scuba gear.

Swimming pool session

When all is set, instructor will take you to the pool session where you will learn basic scuba diving skills and how to use the scuba gear. It takes about one hour. Now you should be ready to dive in the open sea under constant guidance of the instructor.

Two open water dives

Two open water dives with personal guidance of experienced instructor. You join other certified divers on the same boat, but you will dive in separate group. Each dive around 40-50 minutes depending on your air consumption. You do not have to be independent diver in this course, but our instructors are always confident enough to prepare you to be the one. Enjoy underwater marine life, coral reefs and fish and take home some of the best holiday memories.

If you wish to continue to PADI Open Water Diver course with certification - you need to finish one more pool session (confined water skills) + two more dives with practicing those skills and complete PADI e-learning.

FAQs

How do I get to your location? Is transfer included in the price?

Transfer is not included in the price.

  • GLOW Elixir resort – 400 THB (5 mins. drive)
  • Loh Pared Bay area (Santhiya Resort & Spa, Blue Bay resort, Yao Yai Resort, Heimat Garden) – 700 THB roundtrip (20 mins. drive)
  • North of Koh Yao Yai (Koh Yao Yai Village, Hillside resort, Betterview Resort, Thiwson bungalow – 800 THB roundtrip (35 mins. drive)

Price of the transfer is always roundtrip and is per car. We split the costs, if there are more guests from the same area. Please send us resort name and your room number to arrange the transfer and pick up.

We recommend renting a motorbike to come to our office (250 THB/day). There is very little traffic on Koh Yao Yai and motorbike is also great way to explore the island.

Do I need an Open Water Diver (OWD) certification?

To sign up for a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience, you must be at least 10 years old. No prior experience with scuba diving is necessary, but you need to be in reasonable physical health.
